Karen Gillo has over 20 years’ experience and achievements in corporate communications, public relations, digital and social media strategy, event related marketing, crisis/issues communications and project management across a variety of industries. She has developed and implemented innovative and award-winning publicity campaigns for a variety of clients, including the Anguilla Tourist Board, the Nevis Tourism Authority and the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority. A senior communications executive with strong international experience in corporate, travel, hospitality and luxury lifestyle marketing, she has expertise in media relations, crisis management, branding, marketing communications, and government relations. Karen is a seasoned writer and event planner, acting as the speechwriter for various elected officials and C-level executives and leading major events for clients and companies, including press conferences, stakeholder events and conferences, guerrilla marketing, concerts and press trips. Having worked in both advertising and public relations agencies in the US, UK and Europe, Karen has invaluable international insights from both the client and agency perspectives.
Karen holds an M.A. in Media & Public Affairs from the George Washington School of Media & Public Affairs and a B.A. in Psychology from Connecticut College.
